We currently offer CPP20212 Certificate II in Security Operations (1AC) which will provide Students with all the skills, knowledge and attributes required to work as an unarmed static and/or mobile patrol guard, concierge, a crowd controller at clubs, pubs, sporting events and concerts, a control room operator.
The course is offered at our Bankstown Branch located at Suite 6, 1-5 Jacobs Street, NSW 2200.
COURSE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
You must have a Unique Student Identifier
You must be over 18 years of age
You must be an Australian Permanent Resident, an Australian Citizen, or have a Visa that entitles you to work in Australia unrestricted
You must have had no criminal convictions in the past 10 years.
You must sign an acknowledgement that you have read Fact Sheet 6 - Grounds for Refusal.
You must provide 100 Points of Identification upon enrolment.
All students must complete a Literacy and Numeracy Test (LLN test) as part of the enrolment process. Students will not be allowed to commence the Security Course if they cannot pass the LLN test.
The duration of our course is 102 hours (which is SLED required minimum), with a maximum class size of 15 students. The cost is $750 and includes First Aid.
There are both Male and Female Trainers and Assessors available.
We provide a relaxed and friendly training environment to maximize the success of each Students results.
The current schedule is Monday to Friday (08:00 - 18:15) for two weeks and one Saturday 09:00 - 16:00.
The course covers the basic legal, operational knowledge and skills to begin working in the Security Industry.
Students must attend all days, in a face to face classroom environment.
PATHWAY TO NSW SECURITY LICENSE (SUBCLASS 1AC)
ASQA requires that 12 units of CPP20212 be completed to obtain a Certificate II in Security Operations.
However, to apply for a full NSW 1AC Security License, new applicants will need to have successfully completed all fourteen (14) units of competency (as listed below as well as HLTFA311A Apply first aid ) as required by the NSW Security Licensing and Enforcement Directorate (SLED), who are the industry regulators in NSW.
