We currently offer CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations (1AC) which will provide Students with all the skills, knowledge and attributes required to work as an unarmed static and/or mobile patrol guard, concierge, a crowd controller at clubs, pubs, sporting events and concerts, a control room operator.

COURSE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
You must have a Unique Student Identifier
You must be over 18 years of age
You must be an Australian Permanent Resident, an Australian Citizen, or have a Visa that entitles you to work in Australia unrestricted
You must have had no criminal convictions in the past 10 years.
You must sign an acknowledgement that you have read Fact Sheet 6 - Grounds for Refusal.
You must provide 100 Points of Identification upon enrolment.
All students must complete a Literacy and Numeracy Test (LLN test) as part of the enrolment process. Students will not be allowed to commence the Security Course if they do not successfully complete the LLN test.

COURSE INFORMATION
The duration of our course is 15 days, with a maximum class size of 15 students. The cost is $1150, and is currently only offered full time.
The course will be face to face from 8.00am to 5.00pm each day including a one hour break.
Monday to Friday for 3 weeks (The first week will be Tuesday to Friday, with the first Monday allocated to HLTAID003).
Students must attend all days, in a face to face classroom environment. in addition, to self-paced learning both before and during the course.
PATHWAY TO NSW SECURITY LICENSE (SUBCLASS 1AC)
ASQA requires that 12 units of CPP20218 be completed to obtain a Certificate II in Security Operations.
However, to apply for a full NSW 1AC Security License, new applicants will need to have successfully completed all fourteen (14) units of competency (as listed below as well as HLTAID003 Provide first aid ) as required by the NSW Security Licensing and Enforcement Directorate (SLED), who are the industry regulators in NSW.

The 13 Units of Competency for CPP20218 have been grouped into 4 Clusters.
It is expected that you attend and complete all sessions for the 4 clusters listed below.

CPPSEC2102 – Apply legal and procedural requirements to work effectively within a security team
CPPSEC2103 – Apply WHS, emergency response and evacuation procedures to maintain security
CPPSEC2104 – Apply risk assessment to select and carry out response to security risk situations
CLUSTER 2
CPPSEC2107 – Patrol premises to monitor property and maintain security
CPPSEC2109 – Monitor and control access and exit of persons and vehicles from premises
CPPSEC2108 – Screen people, personal effects and items to maintain security
CLUSTER 3
CPPSEC2106 – Protect self and others using basic defensive techniques
CLUSTER 4
CPPSEC2101 – Apply effective communication skills to maintain security
CPPSEC2110 – Monitor and control individual and crowd behaviour to maintain security
CPPSEC2111 – Apply security procedures to manage intoxicated persons
CPPSEC2112 – Apply security procedures to remove persons from premises
CPPSEC2113 – Escort and protect persons and valuables
CPPSEC2105 – Provide quality services to a range of security clients
